Emergency Transitional Housing

DSP provides Emergency Transitional Housing (ETH) to any individual aged eighteen (18) and older who has been found eligible for adult Developmental Services through the Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS). ETH is used in crisis situations when an individual’s needs cannot be met within their current living arrangements. This can include situations such as, but not limited to, when an individual is homeless, stuck in the emergency room, and/or a home provider cannot meet the individual’s current needs. Our ETH program provides a highly supportive and supervised residential setting where an individual can stabilize and return home or move to another location. DSP’s ETH staff ensure individuals receive all needed support in crisis planning and stabilization, training/assistance in daily living skills, medication administration, transportation and coordination with their Planning Team to ensure a successful transition to a long-term residential placement.

ETH can only be approved by the OADS Crisis Prevention and Intervention Services (CPIS) team. If you require ETH, please reach out to your Case Manager to submit an ETH request to OADS CPIS. If you require further assistance, please reach out the OADS CPIS team by dialing the Toll-Free Crisis Hotline.
